All of the units at Kona Makai are individually owned condominium apartments. Some of these units are availalble as short term vacation rentals or under longterm lease through the unit's owner or a managing agent selected by the owner.  Neither the Kona Makai Association nor its on-site office handles these rentals.  For rental information, contact a unit's agent.

The list below includes some of the condominiums which may be available for short-term rentals at Kona Makai.  It is not intended to be an exhaustive list.  Under "Managing Agent" you will find an abbreviation for the managing agent which is a link to the web page for that unit if one exists.  If the unit is fully or partially managed by its owner then there will be "Owner->" listed as the managing agent with contact information provided to the right.

The units vary substantially in furnishings and amenities, as well as in location (view, proximity to the ocean, etc.) within the complex.  Prices for rental units vary by unit, as well as by vacation season.

Unit numbers within the Kona Makai complex are simple to "decypher" (map); - the first digit is the building number (1 through 6), the second digit is the floor (1, 2, or 3), and the last two digits are the unit's position in the building.  The buildings are arranged in a "U" shape, with buildings 1 and 6 being closest to the ocean, and building 4 forming the bottom of the "U", facing the ocean.  In buildings 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6, the lower the two-digit position (last 2 digits), the closer the unit is to the ocean.  Two bedroom units are located at the ends of buildings.  Most of the third floor units have sleeping lofts.
